Worst moving experience I’ve had, and I have moved every 1-3 years for the past 20 years.
Don’t fall for the “awe schucks, we are so honest” routine. This company prices based on volume, and not by weight which is the industry standard.
This allows them to more easily overcharge. We asked them to commit to disclosing the actual weight and volume of our HHE and they were evasive. This is not a transparent company.
They missed the Saturday call to review everything before our move. They stopped responding to my emails the second I signed their estimate.
Further, they surprised us with a bunch of extra charges on moving day. Their estimate was not an estimate - it was the minimum they will charge for the move.
They do not offer insurance. We were schooled to learn on moving day that they would not repair or replace any items they damaged. They then offered to insure the move only if we paid them an extra $2,600. I felt extorted.
They charge high fees for storage but bury the formula they use in the fine print.
Worst of a, they packed a ton of “air”, casually placing many of our items, loose, in boxes with no protection. They primarily used moving blankets and tape for everything. No foam or bubble wrap.
When I expressed concern about a poorly wrapped marble table, they offered to crate it for another $295.
Ultimately, they came in at least 40% higher than the estimated “binding” contract.
We are contemplating legal action; I would never recommend this company to anyone. Just another Miami scam. Cuidado.
