Emerson Dorsch

In 1991, Brook Dorsch established Emerson Dorsch in Miami to celebrate local contemporary art. Over 30 years, Emerson Dorsch has influenced the city's contemporary art pattern by supporting artists at every career level, local and international—boosting dynamic exchanges between newcomers and established practices. Emerson Dorsch Contemporary Art Gallery has two aspects. It is home to a select group of South Florida-based artists and hosts and supports exceptional emerging and mid-career artists. The gallery was named after its owners, husband-and-wife art-living team Brook Dorsch and Tyler Emerson–Dorsch. We live artfully and find joy from participating in art close to the origin. Additionally, we promote art patronage through all gallery activities.

Emerson Dorsch is a highly rated contemporary art gallery in Miami with outstanding variety in artists and events. The gallery is recognized for displaying well-known and emerging artists from South Florida and internationally. Visitors were particularly pleased with the Alosugbe exhibit by Shabaka and are excited to return for future shows. Others noted the free parking and inside atmosphere as an overall positive visitor experience. The gallery is also a community resource as evident from their collaborative talks and maintaining a welcoming environment where emerging artists are greatly celebrated.
