About FGTC Since 2007, Florida Gymnastics Training (FGTC) has been owned and operated by Abby Perez. It has been a leading gym in Florida, with various State, Regional, National, and National champions to its credit.  With over 200 years combined experience, our structured gymnastics program provides gymnasts with consistently successful routines. The FGTC coaches are safety-certified by USAG (the governing body for gymnastics) and have passed background checks through the US Center for Safe Sport. FGTC aims to advance children's gymnastics development and knowledge while adapting to their physical and mental growth. FGTC coaches understand children’s unique requirements and make sure that they excel in gymnastics techniques. Abby Perez (Administrative Director/Owner) has a wealth of experience in teaching. She has a State of Florida Certified Teacher in numerous fields, including Elementary Education, Gifted Education, and Exceptional Student Ed. Abby founded FGTC out of her love for children and her understanding of how their physical and intellectual development affects them. Abby is a mother of a competitive gymnast, and she uses her experience as an educator and parent to help parents through their children’s gymnastics development process. Abby competed as a gymnast and was also treasurer of the Florida USA Men's Gymnastics Association.
