My experience at IGK Miami was deeply disappointing. I visited this high-end salon expecting professional expertise, careful attention to my instructions, and the level of service associated with a luxury establishment. My before photographs from 2024-2025 show my hair when it was longer and fuller. Comparing them with my February and August 2026 photographs reveals the significant loss of length and visible breakage I experienced during this period. I requested a Jennifer Aniston-inspired hairstyle from Konstantin, explaining the look I wanted. Unfortunately, the result did not reflect my instructions or expectations. See my last Photo. My subsequent color services with McKenzie raised further concerns about the condition of my hair. During my August 2026 appointment, she held the blow-dryer so close to my scalp that it caused me pain. I was extremely concerned about the way my hair was being handled and the additional breakage Following these services, I observed substantial breakage, damage that significantly affected my hair's length and appearance. When I raised my concerns, I was advised that my hair would need time to grow out. Unfortunately, that did not restore the length or condition of my hair before these appointments. This was not simply a matter of disliking a haircut or hair color. It was about the condition of my hair, the loss of length, and the time required to recover from the damage I experienced. I believe a luxury salon should be measured not only by its reputation and pricing, but also by the quality of its work, the care exercised by its professionals, and how it responds when a client raises serious concerns. My expectations are informed by the standards I associate with established high-end salons such as Charles Ifergan and Mario Tricoci, where I believe client care, professional judgment, and accountability should be paramount. I invested my time, money, and trust in IGK Miami. Based on my personal experience, the results fell short of my expectations. I hope the salon takes these concerns seriously and recognizes how upsetting it can be for a client to experience significant hair breakage and loss of length. I encourage prospective clients to discuss their hair history, desired results, and concerns thoroughly before undergoing chemical services.
