My name is John Olive, and I am a leading commercial and editorial photographer, focusing on beauty, lifestyle, and fashion photography. I truly feel privileged to tell people's stories with my camera. I have been involved in the performing and visual arts since I was a child. I grew up in the Tennessee River area, a section of north Alabama known for its many recording studios and abundant freshwater. My grandfather was a boatbuilder, and his business was my playground. Though I spent more time out of the water than in it, I loved to splash around in it, and I always made or performed something while there. I was always asking friends to pose for portraits or star in short films.
