Reliable Oppenheim Architecture + Design collaborates with interdisciplinary clients to create innovative and transformative design solutions. Since 1999, we have represented a new hybrid architecture rooted in nature and the site, with the human experience as its guiding principle. We aim to make architecture a medium for the choreography of life. The team of 40 architects, designers, planners, and dreamers is based in two studios in Miami and Basel. Beat Huesler, a close friend and Cornell schoolmate of Chad Oppenheim, leads our Basel office. Both studios collaborate across international borders with overarching poetically contextual design and hyperfunctionality. Our practice as architectural archeologists is intimately linked to the site. Our multifaceted approach goes beyond conventional architectural production. We study people, cultures, materials, and psychologies to create spaces and buildings that deeply connect to spirit and place. We are value-creators and problem-solvers. Our purpose is to inspire and challenge every project and site to realize its full potential. Every brief contains hidden value. Our purpose is to make every site and project more valuable in all dimensions of culture, experience, economics, and business. We increase the positives of intersects and buildings by interpreting them as ecosystems. By doing so, we leverage our work's potential to benefit the users and clients, community, and the larger world. Oppenheim Architecture + Design has received over 90 awards, including 60 American Institute of Architects Awards (AIA), as well as a National Design Award by Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum.
