My name is Nayelis, and I am Suite Habana Cafe's owner and passionate coffee lover. My story is one I want to share with anyone new in the family or hasn't heard it yet. I started drinking coffee at the age of three when my family moved from Cuba. I began drinking café con leche prepared by my grandma. She instructed me to put brown sugar in and drink it every day. Since then, I have been a passionate lover of this tradition. My happiest memories are of my grandma and me drinking coffee. She saved money to buy the richest coffee Cuba had to offer at the time. She kept it in a box for months before she finally shared it with her family. My love for coffee has only grown over time, and a part of me knows it's time to act. Sixteen years later, I came to the United States from Cuba, looking for a better life. I knew right away that my world had changed. I had opportunities that I would never have imagined. At twenty, I arrived in the United States, hoping and dreaming of a fresh start. I have always been working hard to ensure I can sustain myself and my family in this new environment. I have done all kinds of jobs. Around eight years ago, I met Manny. Manny had worked for corporate America and specialized in specialty coffees. He was familiar with the coffee business and major brands. He helped me create and launch Suite Habana Cafe. Suite Habana was created as a place for people from different cultures and backgrounds to interact and learn about Cuban culture. This place is very special to me because it is part of my body, soul, and spirit. The good vibes that people feel when they walk in tell me that everyone feels the same way.
