About this business

Clients' Comments Summary: Dr. Ramirez, Jaison, and Kayla provided excellent care in my crown procedure. Thank you Advanced Dental for seeing me quickly and for compassionate care. Great staff and doctor. Highly recommend. Very positive experience and like having the same hygienist at each visit. Very friendly staff. Office is very clean. I’m going to start this review with brutal honesty: I without question have a fear of the dentist and usually don’t enjoy the experience of seeing one. At all. Not even a little. If being sedated for a cleaning was an option, I’d be asking for it every single time. That being said? Dr. Camacho and her team are incredible. I wish I asked everyone what their name was so I could shout them out directly! I was having some pretty major tooth pain and wanted to come in and establish care and come up with a treatment plan. In my very first visit we did just that. If you feel that your teeth are “too bad” or you are embarrassed by them, don’t be. Not with her. Her professionalism and true desire to help her patients is evident in every conversation with her. She answered all my questions and then some, and she took care of my problematic tooth. All in one visit. I am more than thankful they were able to help me and I am truly impressed with how pleasant and caring everyone in the office was. I probably won’t ever be over my fear of dentists or their offices but I can safely say I will walk into hers, willingly. I picked Dr. Camacho and her team based on google reviews alone, to the people who spoke highly, thank you. I trusted random strangers on the internet and this time it worked out incredibly. Never thought I’d say this about a dentist but I’m looking forward to working with Dr. Camacho and her team! Christina is wonderful. I have been seeing her for years. She explains what she is doing and is concerned with my comfort. Also my dentist checked me over. Very nice. Very interested in keeping my oral health complete. Does not do unnecessary work. Trigeminal Neuralgia kept me from having dental care for several years before going to Advanced Dental Care of Ocala. I'm so happy to say my care there has been excellent and everyone there made it a good experience. I recommend Advanced Dental to anyone needing dental care. This office is terrible! I would give 0 stars if I could. I originally went to this office about a year and a half ago. My first visit lasted 3 hours. After hour number 2 (x-rays and cleaning) they put me in another operatory for the dentist to come do my exam. After waiting well over an hour for the dentist, I finally got up and went to the front desk, since no one came in to check on me or update me on the delay. I asked if I owed them anything. They said no, because I hadn't seen the dentist yet. So, they convinced me to stay and told me the dentist would be right in. So, I returned to the operatory and about 5 minutes later the dentist popped in. I said, "I thought you forgot about me doc". He said, "well, you were late for your appointment." I responded that I was not late and he must have mistaken me for someone else, because at this point I had already been there for 3 hours. Apparently, he delayed seeing me because he thought I was late, when I was in fact on time (not very professional). Moving forward to my next appointment. I had my teeth cleaned and the hygienist did a great job. No complaints there. However, at the following appointment with the dentist I was informed that I needed a crown. I paid my $528.30 portion of the crown, as they insisted my insurance would cover the rest. So, going forward, at the appointment to seat my permanent crown, the dentist took it upon himself to cut my nighttime retainer in half, without even asking me. Since it was cut in half, it would no longer stay put or serve its purpose. To where he then said, "You can go to your orthodontist and get a new retainer, or we can make you one here". Which was a $300 cost to me, again done without my consent. I went one more time for a cleaning, because I was happy with the hygienist. However, that was my last appointment, because 3 months later I received a bill for the crown from 9 months ago, that I had already paid my portion of, stating the insurance denied their portion. I then called Advanced Dental to figure out what was going on and they said not to worry because they were going to appeal it. Going forward, the insurance denied it again. I called my insurance and they said they were denying coverage because there was no support to show that the buildup and/or procedure needed to be done. So, I called Advanced Dental again and told them what my insurance said and that they needed more supporting documentation as to why the dentist did the crown. At this point, I said it has been denied twice and I don't want to go to collections because now I am getting billed for the insurance portion of $512.00. To just be done with it all, I asked if they would be willing to settle for half, as it was originally not my responsibility and not my fault the dentist did not provide supporting documentation. Again, Advanced Dental said not to worry and that I would not go to collections for this. Now, here we are a total of 15 months later, and I am still dealing with this. I get another denial letter from the insurance as the dentist is still not providing the correct supporting evidence. So, I called Advanced Dental again today and told them I received another letter stating that the insurance denied it again. I asked the manager what I owed, as I was under the assumption that I paid my portion up front and it was their responsibility to check with my insurance to see if it was going to be covered in advance (before the procedure was done). The manager proceeded to tell me the $512.00 was now my responsibility. All of this because they did not get authorization of coverage from the insurance in advance. So, I paid the bill for the crown that the dentist said I needed, that probably never needed to be done in the first place. I had a wonderful experience at this dental office. The entire staff is friendly, welcoming, and professional. Dr. Ramirez is knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely cares about his patients. I always feel comfortable and well taken care of during my visits. They have always taken good care of my dental needs. A very nice experience i am very happy beautiful service thank you God bless you My recent crown procedure was very disappointing. My partial doesn't fit on the crown anymore. She is the dentist and it is her job to be sure the work is done properly. She stated that there is nothing can be done to make it right. She really didn't care. I cannot afford another partial, so what can I do? My experience with this Dental Office has been great! From front office to patient care is remarkable. My Hygienist is very good, very knowledgeable, and great bedside manners. I felt that they are concerned about my well-being. The waiting area and the patient rooms are very clean and orderly. I highly recommend this place. I am happy that I choose this place for dental care. I am very satisfied with the care that I received. Good experience as always Very friendly and professional
