Reliable McRae Art Studios is Central Florida’s largest collective of artists and was established in 1987 through George Whipple and Marty Whipple. Purposefully built as an affordable studio venue, we are now accepting new members in their large current studio with hundreds of potential artists. We've been in Winter Park for 18 years, and after three moves to Orlando, we're coming home at our original location in Orlando. Our new facility, a newly renovated 10,000-square-foot building, now includes studio spaces for working artists, as well as spaces for workshops, classes, and exhibitions. We are renting out space for special events, such as weddings and receptions, to cover rent and utilities. McRae is partnering with ArtReach Orlando to use a small space as a location for arts programs for children who are underserved. McRae's courtroom is where we select new members—in a jury selection process requiring the acceptance of more than four of the five members. We ensure high quality and diversity. Members of the group regularly win top prizes in art festivals, museums, galleries, and other venues in Florida, including the Brevard Museum of Art, Orlando Museum of Art, Winter Park Public Library, and Casselberry City Hall. The artists of McRae Photography Painting Mixed-media Sculptural and Ceramics have been able to bring to fruition their dreams. Their types of art portray landscapes, portraits, still lives, abstraction, surrealism, and fantasy. The McRae has a lot of open houses throughout the year where collectors, businesses, and visitors can meet and buy art. McRae, as a group, has collaborated with Leesburg Center for the Arts (Leesburg Center for the Arts), Brevard Museum of Art, and Orlando Museum of Art for the First Thursday Show, Casselberry City Hall for the Artists Program, Maitland Art Center and Winter Park Public Library. We have numerous group shows and lots of opportunities to show in other venues. McRae Art Studios are your gateways to careers and businesses.
