The Orlando Dog Training Club Since 1960, Central Floridians have been taught how to feed and train their dogs to make them more acceptable at home and in public by the Orlando Dog Training Club. The Orlando Dog Training Club is a non-profit organization that uses positive motivational training. The Competition Obedience class is for new handlers and dogs. All classes are situated in a 9,000 sq. ft. indoor, air-conditioned facility. Instructors teach the 8-week training course. Instructors will help you and your dog overcome any problems you may have and improve your bond and confidence. ORLANDO Dog Training Club, Inc. is a Florida 501 3c corporation that is a non-profit member of the American Kennel Club and the Florida Assn. Of Kennel Clubs (FAKC). Description of Class: This course includes all of the basic exercises needed for competition, such as recalls and quick fronts using chairs or treats. It also introduces the front pole and the swishpole, the wide jump, pop-up stands for inspection, cookie throws and recalls from standing, directed retrieval with plates, finishing, puppies/beginner jumping, hand signals, and formal heeling with the introduction of figure 8, about turns, left and right turns. Included are beginner sits and downs.
