Uh, no. The school does not hit you with the toughest projects. They lie to you about everything and do not provide 1% of what they promise. The rep I spoke with to schedule a tour of the place apparently left the company before I even traveled to Orlando. He was nowhere to be found and the staff were confused why I was there in the first place. Not a good sign. I still went because I figured this was a fluke. It was not. The instructors were all terrible. We had to spend most of our time on google to learn how to do anything in the programs. Most of my class left the school rather than continue to pay so much for so little. I had signed a one year housing agreement so I was stuck there. Should I tell you about how they locked students out of the place because key fobs would not work? This meant we could not get in after hours to continue our work which would determine if we passed or not. Or how about the leaking roof that allowed water to fall onto the computers? Or the idiotic meetings and lectures we had to attend when we were trying to finish up renders and assignments for class. Not only were the instructors all terrible, but they apparently did not like the place either. In one year, ONE YEAR, there was over a 50% turnover of staff including the teachers. A lot of people higher up in the school left too. The turnover was closer in reality to 75%. Most of the positive reviews here are from shills who now work at the school and rely on the con to continue so they can keep their jobs. If you want to learn VFX for real and get in the industry, spend a lot of time watching youtube tutorials. My class all wasted 30 grand and watching youtube is what we had to do 90% of the time as everyone at DAVE in a teaching or administrative capacity were totally useless.
