We would like to share some customer feedback we have received: Professional guardian and Mara Law, P.A. has provided exceptional service for me & my clients. Wendy and her team are knowledgeable and experienced. They have proven to be great for all my clients in all aspects of Elder Law & Estate Planning. Wendy works to ensure that my clients' needs are met with techniques that are individualized and personal. The most critical qualities that I value as a professional guardian when referring my clients are professionalism and confidence, which Wendy provides. Comes highly recommended. Mara Law was able to handle estate planning and real estate transactions, and it was carried out very smoothly. I recently used Mara Law for both a real estate transaction and estate planning. Ms. Mara and her team were incredibly helpful, and they communicated wonderfully throughout the process. They took the time to explain each document to us and answered any questions we had. When we met with my parents, Ms. Mara listened and made them feel heard and assure them their estate planning needs were being properly taken care of. I highly recommend using Wendy Mara and her team for any future transactions. Fantastic I am a professional guardian, and I am working with attorney Wendy Mara. For me it’s a 10+ Worst lawyer in the country they stole my 3k lost my case couldn’t even submit evidence I had sent to her anyone reading this I promise this office is a trap find a different lawyer unless you want to get robbed like I did my next step is to contact the fl bar and report them and of course they will respond to this saying there are procedures like I haven’t filed a motion or been to court before and the procedure would’ve been to submit the grades and attendance which I had emailed to her every two weeks which she failed to do once again if your reading this do not do business with them they will take your money like they did mine with no refund and no results I have every email I have every court document. I don’t lie about anything this business treated me very wrong. I don’t even know how they can sleep at night. Do not hire Cynthia Lane.!!!!!!! I paid $350 for a 1hr consultation with Wendy Mara to discuss hiring her for Guardian Advocate of my mentally disabled daughter. What a joke. A few minutes into the meeting Wendy advised me that we wouldn't be needing one hour (which I paid $350 for) to discuss things would only take 20 min or so and she would discount my retainer fee. I thought that was fair but realized later that since this was not a flat fee retainer fee the money she subtracted from the retainer didn't matter cause if/when that amount ran out they would just ask for more so she did not really give me back any money for the shortened consultation. Very shady! I also went in a year before and was advised no need to file until a few mos before her birthday. I thankfully didn't sign any contract during consultation and then her assistant called me 6 mos before my daughters birthday wanting me to pay the retainer months before they can even start the paperwork. When I questioned her about why they wanted the money so many months early she backed off and said it could wait. After considering all that had transpired I didn't get a sense of trust in working with this firm When I advised them in writing I will not be hiring them and requested the partial refund owed to me for shorting my consultation time and providing an address where they could send a check they ignored my email To not even give me the courtesy of a response to address what I said about being shorted on the time I paid for is just proof of their shady behavior and disrespect cause if they hadn't done anything wrong and did not owe me a partial refund they would have responded. Taking advantage of a widow in her late 50's trying to raise a teen daughter with severe mental disability all by herself is just shameful! My new attorney gave me a free consultation, flat fee that was hundreds less and did great job! There are much better and more ethical attorneys out there than Wendy Mara but this is just my opinion based on how she treated me and in comparison to the great lawyer I did end up hiring.
