I am beyond grateful for her guidance and support every step of the way. 2. Feedback for Emily Ogden It is with regret that I leave feedback about my recent experience with Emily Ogden. I found the overall pricing of the service to be highly inflated for the quality and quantity of the work that was undertaken. For example, I was charged $80 briefly for her to read an email. While I understand that these are professional services and agreed to the rate at the outset, the level of communication, diligence, and advocacy was not consistent with the standard expected for the price point. In my first consultation with Emily, she noted that she can assist in the reduction or ~ waiver of my arrears. However, the actions were not actively pursued, as I initiated all ideas and suggestions to push the matter forward. Being a first-time client navigating divorce and child custody, I depended on her professional expertise for guidance. However, she kept saying that "There's nothing I can do — he has to agree to waive them," which was repeated without providing alternative strategies or going after innovative legal solutions. There were also issues with regard to reliability and professionalism. Essential communications were delayed or not responded to, and crucial documents, such as a parenting plan, were delayed in submission and signing by the judge. At one point, Emily refused to respond to my inquiries for several weeks, saying she "did not like my attitude", which I found highly unprofessional. While it is essential to point out that personal circumstances such as illness can occur, the consistent delays and excuses made the process unnecessarily stressful. This left me feeling very unsupported and unrepresented. In my view, Emily lacks the empathy and advocacy that clients deserve, especially in such emotionally charged family law matters. I would not recommend Emily’s services to others who are looking for a dedicated and responsive family law attorney.
