Ford United States and Canadian board-certified dermatologist Dr. Michael J. Ford received his diploma from the University of Florida Medical School in 1982, where he was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha. Ford completed his family medicine internship and residency at the University of Alabama. He earned a dermatology residency in Chapel Hill from the University of North Carolina and was Chief Resident. Dr. Ford was a Professor at the University of Florida (Shands) from 1991 until 1999. He was instrumental in founding the University of Florida Dermatology Residency. Ford’s private practice began in Tallahassee, Florida, in 1999. His passion for teaching has continued as an educator to FSU Medicine students, FSU Internal Medicine students, and family practice residents. Outside of Southeastern Dermatology, Dr. Ford enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and spending time with his family. Dr. Ford and Elaine have two daughters and two granddaughters. Associations:
