W. Edward Sutton, a fifth-generation Tampa Bay resident, launched his financial career upon graduating from Florida State University in 1984. In 1989, he formed W. E. Sutton and Associates, Inc. which transitioned to Sutton Wealth Management, Inc. in 2007. Ed Sutton owns Sutton Wealth Management and Sutton Wealth Advisors; both companies are S corps. Ed quickly recognized that the commission-only system in financial services was not the best way to provide clients with service. He began shifting the company toward fee-based asset management.
