The U.S. Department of the Treasury has certified Tampa Bay Black Business Investment Corporation, Inc. as a Community Development Entity (CDE). Tampa Bay Black Business Investment Corporation, Inc. provides money and business opportunities to help small businesses grow successfully in the long term. BBIC was started in 1987 as a non-profit and intends to finance African-American entrepreneurs’ loans. At the same time, it serves other ethnic entrepreneurs. TBBBIC has recorded close to $20 million loan volume from community partners' commitment since its inception.
