Samuel Construction Group

I am a disabled veteran. I hired Samuel Construction to renovate my home after a small water intrusion incident. The final project cost was nearly $200,000, including approximately $14,500 for what I was told was a whole-house repipe. The day I moved back into my home, it flooded. I was later told the pipe or drain that failed were not included in the scope of the whole-house repipe. I was also charged to have that plumbing replaced, even though I believed it should have been included in the original work. The company has since denied responsibility. I also had to have my upstairs bathroom plumbing redone because newly installed components were installed broken and incorrectly. My kitchen cabinets were installed improperly as well, with shelves, doors, and handles needing to be corrected and put together entirely. In addition, the project ended up with nearly $80,000 in change orders on top of the original contract price. I was told the additional costs were necessary because they wanted to “do things right.” There is much more that I could say, but I’ll leave it at that. This was my personal experience, and I hope it helps others as they research contractors for their own projects.
