About this business

I have lived in West Palm Beach, Florida, for 25 years and started working with dogs right after I moved to Palm Beach County. In the early Florida years, I worked at veterinary hospitals and met NY and FL dog trainer Babette Haggerty.  I began my career as a kennel hand and dog walker at Babette's training facility where I learned in-depth ways to train dogs and their humans. I took about a 7-year break from actively training dogs to further my education on the holistic side of dog care. Some of the education I have gained over the years includes dog massage, nutrition, animal behavior, craniosacral therapy, reiki, and many other modalities. These modalities added to my training techniques and made me a more well-rounded trainer. In 2010, I successfully completed my Dog Trainer Certification with the International Association of Canine Professionals( IACP). This organization has the highest standard for a dog training certification. The IACP process includes a written test, case studies, and client feedback. I have had some great mentors along the way. Martin Deeley(Co-Founder and former Executive Director of the IACP), Professor Ray Coppinger(Ethologist and Author, and an expert on genetics and dog behavior) have been some of the biggest. I opened Heel 2 Heal Dog Training to offer dog and their humans a more holistic approach to training.
