Meet Charlene Shikany Charlene Shikany offers drawing and painting sessions at Asa's Alley. Charlene's passion for art started in her youth, and she studied at Mercer University. Portraits are Charlene's niche, and her works have found their way into the collections of various institutions and private collectors across the nation. College Portfolio Study Hall Students who aspire to be artists, wish to develop their technical skills, or want to create a portfolio for college or high school applications will find this program beneficial. Charlene will help you learn the basic concepts of drawing or increase your current skill level. Charlene's classes emphasize portraits and figures and include healthy criticism each week. Drawing and painting classes include landscapes and still lifes to let you practice the basics. Charlene is happy to encourage students eager to learn new things. After practicing with different art media, you can specialize. Charlene could also teach abstract or imaginary subjects if the student improves. Charlene will create a lesson schedule tailored to your interests and experience.
