She studied art at Mercer University. Portraits are her main focus. Charlene's works are held in both private and public collections throughout the U.S. Students who are preparing a portfolio to submit for college or high school applications will find her classes ideal. Students learn the basics of drawing. We will help you improve your drawing skills if you have previous experience. You will either choose your favorite medium, like oils, pastels or acrylics or learn them all. Drawing and painting classes include landscapes, still lifes, and more. We can also progress to abstract subjects and imaginary themes as you gain experience. She ensures that every student gets a course of study tailored to their needs.

Every month, Atlanta's Paige Harvey invites the public to her studio as part of the First Thursday Downtown Art Walk. The Georgia Museum of Art and Brenau University have acquired her large-scale oil paintings of natural subjects. They are also included in numerous public and private collections across the United States. Harvey received grants for individual artists from the Georgia Council for the Arts. The Fulton County Arts Council and the City of Atlanta Bureau of Cultural Affairs also awarded Harvey. The Fairlie-Poplar Legend Award was given to her in 1999. Harvey has a master's degree in Art History as well as Drawing and Painting. She has taught painting and drawing at Brenau University, Tallulah Falls School, and Brenau University.
