DawnArt Studios LLC

Dawn is an award-winning artist and educator who runs DawnArt Studios LLC, offering classes and workshops in Atlanta. She taught at SCAD Atlanta, The Atlanta College of Art, and Art Centers in the United States. All her students are given the chance to create, promote, and display in their own gallery show. Dawn founded and directed a workshop called Self Portrait Fit for a King at the 2006 High Museum of Art Louvre Atlanta Summer Teaching Institute. This lesson was created for grades K-12 and can be accessed by teachers in the United States. The project was also showcased in the Atlanta Intl Airport. Dawn Kinney Martin oil paintings are in private and corporate collections across the United States and worldwide. Her expressive work has garnered multiple awards from plein air competitions and fine art festivals and purchase awards. Recent awards include 1st prize in the Lake Country Juried Art Competition. First place at the Elizabeth City and Perry Co. plein air competitions. Decatur Art Poster 2018 and Purchase Award. Judges Choice Award, Mount Gretna Arts Festival 2015, 2014, 2nd place in Art Station Plein Air Competition at Mount Gretna Arts Festival. Acceptance to an Artists in Residence program in Elizabeth City NC in June 2013 and November 2014. Brookhaven Arts Alliance recognized her for her creative contributions and services to the community. The Harris Arts Center, a gallery in Georgia, has her work in its permanent collection. Her paintings can be found in fine art festivals and galleries across the nation.
