South River Art Studios

South River Art Studios is a collection of studios, event places, and offices along Atlanta's South River. They rent out affordable space to designers, artists, and other creative professionals. The project involves numerous warehouses and covers four acres of regenerated industrial land. The purpose of the project is to create a welcoming and thriving community that develops Atlanta's contemporary arts culture. Our artists utilize various mediums, have diverse artistic visions, and come from various backgrounds. They also have different ages, skill levels, and backgrounds, creating a diverse and dynamic environment that fosters synthesis, sharing, and support. Artist communities can help cities to grow and sustain a vibrant arts scene. Feedback and critique from other artists assist artists in growing, developing, and progressing. Such supports inspire artists to take on new challenges. Collaboration may help artists to find fertile grounds for their creativity and new avenues for their work.

South River Art Studios (SRAS) is highly praised, especially for hosting events such as weddings and birthdays. The owners, Laine and Phil, offer efficient processing and customer service and were very accommodating to their clients' needs. They enable customers to utilize items that are rented to furnish and decorate the layout and to feel welcomed and at ease. Additionally, clients enjoyed using the studio's various rooms, which were designed and designated to encourage creativity and were scattered throughout the building. The welcoming ambiance is further highlighted by the communal break room and vast communal area, equipped with a large door that allows for strolling and enjoyable events. It is a unique space that is open and enables many artists, new or experienced, to explore and grow artistically. The joint review of artists also highlights the numerous talented people, established and emerging, who work in the studio.
