Brown & Co. Jewelers was founded in 1974 by Frank and Richard Brown. The company was established on the legacy of Marie Burns, who founded the Jewel Box located within the Grand Historic Davenport Hotel in Spokane in 1923. The company is independent, family-owned, and operated. Frank Brown, the proud father of two daughters, is committed to maintaining the status quo at Brown & Co. as a result. His daughters grew up assisting with Christmas shopping and wrapping presents during the holidays. In 2003, Amy Brown Greene, Frank's daughter, joined the company, followed by his other daughter, Sara Beth Brown Prendeville, in 2013. Amy and Sara Beth now serve as Vice Presidents at Brown & Co., where they are learning from their father and working closely with him. The company has two locations in Historic Roswell and Buckhead, making them the largest independent jewelry stores in America. Some of Brown & Co.'s other achievements include being members of the American Gem Society since 1976. The loving and experienced team at Brown & Co. has multiple Gemological Institute of America alumni, master jewelers, and several AGS-certified Gemologists.
