Southside Medical Center Customer Feedback Overview:
Southside Medical Center at Cleveland Ave
I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at this Cleveland Ave location. The receptionists, Rhonda and Amirah, were both extremely rude and had nasty attitudes during my experience. I scheduled an appointment to be seen and showed up for that appointment on time. Upon arrival, I was notified that I did not have an appointment. I was very disappointed because their office had scheduled me an appointment that I had made the trip there for. I did not receive any help trying to figure out what was wrong, and I felt like I was treated rudely and it was almost like I was told the situation was my fault. This kind of customer service is absolutely unacceptable, especially in a healthcare setting where patients should be treated with nothing but respect and professionalism. I am highly disappointed in my experience and do not recommend this Cleveland Ave location. I must look into switching to the Ridge Ave location or finding a different dentist altogether. Very disappointed and dissatisfied with my treatment.
Update to previous review.
I was unjustly treated. I was told things that never happened.
Medical Advice: Please see a doctor since your situation appears to require medical treatment.
I was told that if I could show proof that I had no job or very low income, I could be on the sliding scale. I had my appointment set up, so because I no longer have a car, I got a ride. Upon arriving on the correct floor, I encountered a lady with blonde hair and glasses. Her attitude was rude from the very beginning. She only asked me to sign my name. After waiting 35 minutes, someone finally tended to me (a different lady). Upon waiting for so long, I was told I was in the wrong area and I would need to go downstairs. I walked downstairs into what seemed like a cross between the ER and urgent care. Because it was my first time, I was charged as being part of the urgent care, not the appointment set up a week prior. I presented my proofs of income (my online sales), but I was told that this couldn’t be used. It was obvious that they were taking full advantage of the situation to fill their pockets. The nurse who tended to me for my info was a funny white lady. She was pleasant and warm. The doctor or the RN that came after her didn’t even bother to listen to me. She used words like “I think the reason why,” meaning there wasn’t a definitive answer at all. Since I don’t work, I don’t have any insurance, and a hospital that is supposed to be for everyone robbed me and made me spend money.
