My name's Danny and I'm 22 years old, I had placed an add on craigslist to sell a property me and my father purchased in Kauai 2 years ago. I wasn't being as patient as my dad suggested I be as I needed the cash to pay my mother back. So i wanted to sell our property fast. I went online and read How Tim Mira sells properties fast. I asked my pops if I could hire him because the property was in both of our names, My dad said he spoke with Tim a few years back and as he puts it, he got bad vibes, but told me to always trust my gut instinct. I hired Tim at a 5% commission with the only rule to be transparent and honest with me. Commission for land is 3%, housing is rarely even 5-6%. I was trying to do him a favor. 3 days after listing with tim mira a man responded to my craigslist listing, I was about to sell it to him at my asking cost of 129,000 when my father told me I was legally obligated to use Tim because we both signed a contract at a price just of 87,000 dollars. Which Tim recommended us that number so low, so he can easily get a commission. So I told the buyer who called me direct to call Tim as I was under contract. Even though i felt bad to do so. In the end things went well with a minor issue of someone possibly being on title in 1940, I explained we were paying taxes and the deed was in our name and this is not our responsibility to track down anyone from 70 years ago who is not alive. The buyer backed out and said the title company said no worries as they were not entitled to a commission under the circumstances, however Tim Mira continues to harass me for 400 dollars that he said I should pay as the deal fell through. I asked for honesty and I got a blotched deal plus now I re-posted my property to sell as my listing expired with Tim, (fortunately) Weird thing is I re-posted yesterday on Craigslist and my add got flagged within the first 5 minuets.
