About this business
Our curriculum for the DMACC Transportation Institute Commercial Vehicle Operator Training Course includes two parts: an online course to cover the theory and an in-car driving training. This program is in high demand in today's job market, and our graduates benefit from this demand. Our graduates are visited by company recruiters almost every week, from local companies to over-the-road firms. Many are employed before even completing the course. Our school is equipped with the required resources to train high-quality drivers for our admissions and our transportation sector partners. Our truck driving school strives to meet the specific job requirements of all driving companies. Our supplementary courses include the hazardous materials endorsement and the motor vehicle safety course, two of the necessary training courses for a DMACC Transport driving card.

I get a majority of all of my drivers from DMACC and not by my choice. But 99% do not know how to do a pretrip. And call stuff out they have no idea what it is and what they are even looking at. Most of them have no idea what to do at a scale or even when to stop at a scale or how fast to take off ramps or corners without setting off the stability control sensors. And when they come out of school they think they can tell their bosses how to run a company.
