CBH JOAD: A Legacy of Quality Instruction in Archery for Juniors Since 2005 In 2005, the Chicago Bow Hunters JOAD was created to promote the sport of archery among the young members of the club. This program began with 8 to 10 archers. Now, after 12 years, there are over 40 archers ranging from 8 to 17 years old. Our head coach is Gabe Querol. Gabe was the father of Gabe Querol, one of the original JOAD participants. Although Gabe's son is an adult and has left the program, Gabe still enjoys shooting archery with his "old guy" every so often. Archery is an activity that a person can participate in for a lifetime. Our coaches are highly knowledgeable and instruct in the best possible way for our pupils. CBH JOAD is a member of USA Archery and adheres to all its regulations. CBH supports all types of archery, whether it is target, field, or 3D. CBH JOAD Program: Membership and Participation CBH JOAD Program for children aged 8 to 21 years old. We at CBH, a private archery club, have many privileges that require membership and payment of yearly dues. Therefore, the young archery participants were required to be on the current roster of active CBH members, whether they were youths or family members. Details can be found online at www.chicagobowhunters.com. Membership and USAA (USA Archery) CBH JOAD Members must be current USAA members. Check out www.usarchery.org for more information. A CBH member is required to pay no extra fees to receive their membership or register with USAA. Weekly practice sessions are held on Thursday nights. JOAD archers can also participate in a variety of fun shoots, competitive tournaments, and field events. Equipment Availability CBH has some loaner equipment available for the youngest of our new archers. This equipment may not always be available, and the archery participants need to have their gear when enough time is spent learning.

Archery experience at CBH is an excellent recreational outlet that reviewers have enjoyed. They provide indoor and outdoor shooting ranges for bowhunters. As soon as you walk inside this range, you will immediately notice the atmosphere it supports, prompting you to reach a bubble of tranquility and eventually a relaxed shooting mood. There are lots of fun things to do there, and a 3D shooting course is included as well. Archery for fun tournaments has been a plus, and coach training is the best so far on the grounds. However, one reviewer declined to post this review for fear CBH would get overcrowded. Finally, the facility's serene setting has been an excellent escape from the city's hustle.
