Al went above and beyond identifying rotted pipes that affected the plumbing overall. He replaced what needed to be replaced with new PVC pipe drainage and came back to install the washer dryer minutes after delivery. I would definitely hire him again for my next large home project. The floors, painting, and the countertops all look terrific and we’re lucky to have him as our general contractor for our spot. They got it working that same day so our tenants had heat and then gave a great quote (including parts and labor warranties) to replace the furnace, water heater, and air conditioner- which were all over 20 years old. Al talked through the options and my building needs to determine the best matches for my space, instead of just recommending replacement units based on my square footage. His team was very polite, kept to their quoted schedule and left everything super clean. While doing part of the instillation on the exterior, they noticed a small, unrelated issue and called my attention to it since it was in an obscured part of the building. They repaired that too while they were there and at no extra cost!! A few months later, I was able to quickly schedule Al and Mr. Olive to return when the weather suddenly turned warm in early spring to get the A/C calibrated and all continues to be working great. Feedback No. 12: If your home HVAC breaks down, you will spend a lot of time hoping to find a good company to repair it. I didn't spend that time because my friend recommended AI. I used AI twice to repair my AC unit and install a new HVAC system, the results were satisfactory. He was very professional, and the price was reasonable, absolutely would recommend, 5 stars! Feedback No. 13: I can't say enough good things about Al & his team. My A/C died in the middle of a heatwave & a friend recommended Chicago Custom Remodeling. Al arrived an hour later quickly diagnosed the issue. Unfortunately, the diagnosis was a new unit needed. 24 hours later a brand new unit was installed and working perfectly. Recently, we went through a major renovation with our nearly 100-year-old house. While most people find a renovation stressful, I actually had a lot of fun with it. That's due to Al. We communicated our vision, style, and budget upfront and he was able to bring our dream to life. He made additional suggestions that brought character to our home and also added little details that give it modern conveniences. There is no challenge Al can't meet.
