Lakeshore Academy, founded in 1982, offers the highest quality recreational and competitive gymnastics training in the gym and rock climbing, camps, parties, and more. Lakeshore Academy has been a world-class gymnastics school in Chicago for over 30 years and maintained one of the nation's top training centers. Lakeshore Academy has the tallest and most advanced rock climbing gym in the Chicago area. All ages can benefit from Lakeshore's gymnastics classes and programs. Gymnastics for younger children can improve balance and motor coordination. It is also a great way to build strength and flexibility. Our students are encouraged to have fun and achieve their goals. This class teaches students basic gymnastics skills involving the use of vaults, parallel bars, and high bars. Tumble track and trampoline exercises are also included in the class to improve body awareness. Basic swings and a variety of handstands are taught in this class. A variety of basic skills are introduced to all apparatuses.
