Norwood Crossing, originally known as the Norwegian Old People’s Home, was established by a group of Norwegian Americans over a hundred years ago. Dr. Niles T. Quales’ vision inspired many people to create the organization. Constructed in 1896 in Norwood Park, close to Nina Avenue, Avondale Avenue, the Norwood Park Hotel became the home of countless legally aged Norwegian immigrants who wanted to live a better life. The community around the Norwegian Old People’s Home changed its designation. The group of friends founded the institution, and it assumed the nearby region’s name, Norwood Park. The facility was then renamed the Norwood Park Home before being renamed Norwood Crossing.

Universal high sentiment for this assisted living facility. Workers, customers, and traffic people document pleasure and comfort at the spa. Several employees note the organization's effort to address workforce habits during the pandemic, mentioning relaxation, kindness, etiquette, and steady supply of toiletries, meals, and personal preparation goods. Specific mention was made of Debbie, Chris, and Luke the most amazing to work under, with encouragement, progress, and kindness. Visitors also claimed to be entertained by scheduled fitness options and gatherings with a smiley and friendly set of residents. At least one recommendation clear out of it, as a past worker suggested they felt like resting and that it was their second home. Another employee advised the owner suggested as Amara, a residence for older people who like enjoyment and aimed to keep fit.
