Chad's Barber Shop opened its doors in 2004 at a strip mall along Madison Avenue, which is on the southside of Indianapolis. Chad M. Potts, the owner, ventured into the barbering world in high school by giving haircuts to the whole football team at Triton Central High School. The more the haircuts he gave, the more he fell in love with the business. He had to provide for his family, so this love became more than just a passion. In 2004, Chad was the only barber at Chad's Barber Shop. The goal was to provide customers with quality cuts at an affordable price. As his shop grew, so did his mission. Chad will now say that ultimately his heart was to help other guys who had families or other obligations to also be able to pay bills and mortgages. After the renovation, Chad's Barber Shop has nine more chairs in 2011, eleven more in 2013, and a dozen more in 2014. Chad unveiled his newest expansion on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving 2016.
