City Gallery is committed to inclusive programming, community arts, and education in Indianapolis. The Harrison Center is a historic 65,000 square-foot building on 16th Street and Delaware Streets in north Indianapolis. It seeks to solve community problems with art, music, and education. The gallery experience is made more accessible for all; emerging patrons can be shown and developed. The Harrison Center hopes to appreciate and foster community in arts and culture as a catalyst for change in Indianapolis. Art is powerful. The Harrison Center values it as a tool to love and understand people and renew a community. All Indianapolis residents are served and valued by The Harrison Center. We envision an inclusive city where all citizens can enjoy the arts, with no regard for their socioeconomic status, gender, age, race, religion, disability, or ethnicity. Communities are served. Our city's residents and the patrons of its arts community will be met. City Gallery programs provide resources and opportunities for creatives, students, and neighbors. Their voices, stories, and experiences are recognized and valued. People and their stories are loved and respected. They are encouraged and challenged. Our programs, activities, and events acknowledge and meet the needs of individuals and communities from various backgrounds. Artists are connected to a wide range of communities, ensuring that everyone can participate in, learn from, and support the arts.
