Gymnastics classes start with a warm-up and stretch. Then, the children will do rotating stations and skill development that is appropriate for their age and skill levels. Stations may include using spring floors, parallel bars, and single bars. We will also cover mindfulness and the connection of body, mind, and spirit. Each class will end with group discussion. Children will learn meditation and stretching techniques designed to help calm their minds. As always, kids who have listened well, are talking nicely, respected others, were patient, and tried hard will get a stamp of approval on their hand to show others. Are you a parent of a child who needs to move all the time and have lots of energy and motivation to do more in life? Do you have a child who would like to be stronger, more flexible, coordinated, and be able to keep up with endurance and knows how to get there? Does your child need an outlet to escape the stress of the pandemic but isn't into gymnastics? You do not have to be an athlete! No Experience necessary! Our warm-ups and stretching last about 10 minutes, and then motivational music gets the kids ready for a range of body weight exercises. They will also encourage each other and work on mobility each class. The goals for the kids are individual long and short term goals through the use of agility assessments. The kids will do progressive tumbling drills through the class, which will allow them to use their physical strength to do forward/backward rolls, planks, balance poses, headstands/handstands, and eventually more difficult skills that can be done in a safe way, only if their bodies are properly conditioned to do these skills. Every class will also have personal talking sessions and will teach stretching and meditation.
