About this business

Impressions of Indy Reads based on customer feedback: A group of friends and I visited a few weeks ago. It was a really nice place, loved the vibe and sound of what they are about. But none of us were happy with the mystery book items. These were books covered in paper with drawings to give you clues as to what it is. They, I think, were 8/9$ a piece…well they left the original price on the book which was 5$. Kind of felt a little duped. But would recommend a visit. Punch community for Indy Reads. This cute shop has a great selection of new and used books. We always visit local bookstores when we are out of town and this is one to remember to go back to. muitas opcoes mas não tao bem divididas - Customer feedback is very helpful for customers and shop owners as well. - Lot of options but not well divided - Great and friendly staff - Great and friendly staff - I've been wanting to visit Indy Reads for years and finally made the trip to Fountain Square—it absolutely lived up to the wait. They have a large, thoughtfully curated selection of used books at great prices, along with a strong offering of new titles. It’s easy to spend a lot of time browsing. The staff are friendly and genuinely helpful, and the space itself is bright, clean, and inviting. It’s also an LGBTQ+ affirming environment, and I felt very welcome there. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area. - First and foremost... their mission truly is amazing. Right off the rip that is what caught my attention. They have so many books, new and used!! My first experience there was before the Indy Book Crawl, I had the honor of speaking with an employee named Mitchell. He was such a kind and genuine soul. Then he proceeded to tell me that he likes to collage after I was telling him my collage hobby!! Then he pointed to one of his books!!!!!!!!! Of course my friend bought it for me for my birthday because we loved Mitchell immediately!!! So not only did I LOVE this bookstore, their non-profit, and mission... but the service was superb!!!!!!!! Then the book crawl event... they were crazy busy. But no matter how busy they were, all employees were so patient, kind and motivated to be there!!!! Truly an amazing experience!!!! Highly recommend stopping by when exploring Indy...Fountain Square has amazing local shops including INDY READS! - What a great book store located in fountain square. Even with all the construction and road closings i was able to park and find the store. Love the store and the used section. - Great events, excellent community space! - It took a minute to get oriented how this store has there layout. They do not inventory used books so it's like a Homegoods for books. Great stuff, but you never know what you're going to find. - I have been a patron of Indy Reads ever since I moved to Indianapolis. I loved their location on Mass Ave, and I now love their location in Fountain Square. They have a wonderful mix of new and used books, and have almost any genre you can think of. The children's selection is good, too! Even better--the "pay what you can" shelves. No judgment, ever. - I adore this place because it has old, new & such a wide range of text from psychology to world history and personal essays. - I love this location in FSQ for a bookstore! It has a lot of inventory and makes browsing so fun! - Cutest little bookstore! From old to new the variety is endless. The kid section is setup so beautifully. - Lovely atmosphere. Great staff, good selection of books. - This place is disgusting.
