About Dr Vick's La Medical Spa Dr. Maurice Vick graduated with honors from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and LSU Medical School New Orleans. The American Board of Urology certified him after completing his Urologic Surgery Residency at Charity Hospital, New Orleans. AOA, The National Medical Honor Society, recognized his academic success and leadership during his attendance at LSU Medical School. He finished as the foremost graduate in his class at LSU Medical School and had a National Heart Institute Fellowship. He was also Chief of Specialty at two U.S. Public Health Service Hospitals. Dr. Vick was a Urologist in the Baton Rouge location for two decades. During this time, he also brought lithotripsy and Prostatic Seed Implantation (Brachytherapy) from Germany and Denmark to Baton Rouge. Dr. Vick then moved into aesthetics. He became friends with many of the leaders in aesthetics and learned some of his techniques. Dr. Vick attends regular regional and international conferences to expand his knowledge base and share with his peers. This keeps him up to date with the cutting edge in aesthetic medicine. In 2011, Dr. Vick bought the first Zeltiq CoolSculpting device in this area. This non-invasive treatment technique requires little or no downtime.
