Clinton & Muzyka P.C. is a law firm, with Thomas J. Muzyka, the maritime defense firm’s founder, and Thomas E. Clinton since 1984. Our law firm has been serving New England and international clients in maritime defense since its inception. Marine protection insurance and indemnity are our main areas of expertise. Our lawyers are licensed to practice in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island on a pro hac vice basis. Thomas J. Muzyka is the firm's managing shareholder, with Robert E. Collins, John Bromley, and Gregg Lysko as associates. Brad Gandrup and Kenneth Corson are also members. Initially, our practice was limited to civil maritime litigation and vessel owner maritime support. Our practice has now expanded to tort litigation, insurance defense, and commercial litigation. This practice area includes worker's comp, workers' compensation, subrogation, product liability, and labor agreements. In the last few years, the cost of defense has increased significantly in both the insurance and maritime industries. Local litigation awards and interest rates and costs have also increased. This has made the financial situation worse. These conditions have prompted us to develop a more diverse and cost-effective approach to handling maritime claims and insurance.
