About Us
Andy Broido was 12 years old when she taught swimming for the first time at Brown Ledge Camp, Malletts Bay in Vermont. What a thrill! She has been teaching swimming ever since. The Little Flippers Swim School started in 1970 when she opened her first swim school in Orange County. Andy later moved to Boca Raton in 1985. She was in charge of the swim school at Mission Bay, which is a world-class facility. With her guidance, there was tremendous growth from the very beginning until it closed in 1991. Quality Swimming was born. Andy was a USSSA Board member in the past and remains a member of its infant committee. Additionally, she is a member of the National Drowning Prevention Alliance and Swim Australia.
Our Learn to Swim Centre
Our Learn to Swim Centre is a state-of-the-art swimming facility offering swimming lessons for children, infants, and toddlers throughout the year. We have established the Learn to Swim Centre to provide families in the Metro West Boston area and Winchester the best program for swimming instruction and water safety education. It has approximately 9,000 sq. Feet and is fifty percent (50%) indoor and fifty percent (50%) outdoor.
Our mission is to inspire a lifetime of learning to love and respect the water. Our philosophy is to create a bond with every family who has chosen to come swimming with us. We are known for having smaller classes, allowing more individual interaction. Our DECK SUPERVISOR is a valuable resource to our senior staff and our very experienced instructors. Deck Supervisors are the "concierge" to the instructor. They liaise with parents and instructors. Deck supervisors assist instructors to evaluate the students and provide extra safety by monitoring all classes. They are friendly and familiar with all students. DECK SUPERVISORS also offer advice to parents regarding progress, answer your questions about your child's classes. Our customer service representatives are available to assist with any queries about the programs, registrations, and the purchase of swim gear needed.
