Reliable Matt graduated from the Florida School of Massage in Gainesville in 2004. In all, he spent over 2000 hours on massage, manual osteopathy, and education. He also taught massage for three years at the Cortiva Institute in Watertown MA and worked in clinical and spa settings. He holds a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology. He holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology. Matt also studied Osteopathic Bodywork at the Canadian College of Osteopathy. Matt is licensed in Texas (No. 128039) and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. Most of us have to deal with stress and lead busy lives. These conditions mean that the nervous system remains in a position of low readiness. Our body redirects resources away from digestion, immune function, and other non-priority systems. Massage helps break the stress cycle by promoting relaxation and freeing resources up for maintenance and repair.
