My background is not what one might expect from an attorney; I am not a typical one. My performing experience includes the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Hall, and Boston Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker. Moreover, I was also in the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas for three seasons with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. After several years as a classical percussionist, I decided to transfer my abilities to the courtroom. Now, I practice as a civil litigator in Massachusetts. Most civil cases settle before trial by jury, but a lawyer has to be prepared and able to take a litigious case in the client’s interest. While at law school, I undertook several judicial internships in the Massachusetts courts in addition to my full-time work in a firm. I also worked as a law clerk to the Honorable Gregory I. Massing Associate Justice at the Massachusetts Appeals Court after completing law school. I studied appeals in civil and criminal cases there and learned a lot about the law. This law clerk job prepared me for my career as a federal and state litigator. Nonetheless, even though I love law practice, I also appreciate it. I can communicate directly with my clients and educate them on the complexity and specifics of their cases. I am here to advocate for them and educate them. My cases have involved wrongful death and medical malpractice; I also handle sexual assault, premises liability (for example, slips & falls), dog bites, and construction accidents. I also do motor vehicle negligence. I was the lead counsel for jury trials at both the district and superior courts.
