Baltimore Bowmen Archery Club

Gunpowder State Park was purchased by Maryland several years ago, and the Baltimore Bowmen archery club has 65 acres of it. The land is mostly mature hardwoods, with approximately 45 acres dedicated to our club. The terrain varies from flat to hilly wooded areas, and a stream runs through the property. We can set up beautiful and challenging courses for you, whether you are a 3-D Dots or Dots shooter. We have three separate courses for you to enjoy. In addition to that, we have a practice butt range that is readily available. There are ten targets you can choose from out there. You can pick from Bunny to the 80-yard ones if you are doing the practice Butt range. Fred Bear has a Hunter Course with 28 targets, and it is a challenging course that it might seem real. A tree stand target and a deer running target are in the course. There is an 80 yard target that goes down to only 20 yards for those who are up for it. The trail has to let one go to the other side of it. As the trail winds down from one side to the other, there is a variety of opportunities for real-life shots that many people love this one!
