ABOUT   Services Excellence Summary

Peyton Cory, along with Sean Kelly, Jonathan Logan, and Dara Loreto, is participating in the Portal exhibit. The four artists use their photography backgrounds and exposure to other mediums to create art. Cory, from the UK, and Logan use the photos to offend, question, or enlighten the spectator. These images are inspired by architecture and extraordinary scenes as well as portraiture, with a focus on human values and the concept of "The Human Connection". Cory is also looking at the way different types of natural light affect reactions and emotions on the different canvases. Sean Kelly, Lorenzo, and collaborate on the doors and entranceways of the neighborhoods of Baltimore City. They roam the city looking for doors and portals where a part of the city can be seen or experienced. They want to give Dixie Terwilliger the opportunity to see what they have discovered about these realms that they did not know. This research-based record, informed by interviews with historians and residents, examines the city in terms of kitschy magnetic thresholds. The photographs will also be featured in an exhibition about Baltimore’s Gateways, where the duo will explain their process and answer any questions about the most costly and valuable exhibit to date.
