I hate leaving negative reviews, but I felt this was necessary to share my experience. I came to this salon after a previous bad hair experience, hoping for a fresh start. I clearly explained to my stylist, Emily, that I did not want to bleach my hair and only wanted a root melt to blend my roots with the rest of my hair while removing leftover red tones. Emily agreed that it was a good plan. Unfortunately, after the first wash, my hair ended up darker, and my roots looked exactly the same. Emily offered to redo it, but even after a second attempt, there was still no change in my roots. On top of that, the styling of my curls was a disaster. My hair was dry, barely had any products in it, and the method used while diffusing caused frizz and damage. Despite requesting to keep my curls, Emily’s technique made my hair look very messy. When I asked to straighten my hair afterward, she refused and said she didn’t have time, instead letting it air dry while frizzy and dry from the dye. I paid $200 for a service that was rushed, incomplete, and left me shocked and disappointed. When I tried to follow up with the salon, they refused to correct the issue without charging additional fees, and customer service was unhelpful and dismissive. Emails and phone calls went unanswered, and when the bank attempted a refund, the salon claimed I “left happy.” Overall, I felt scammed and completely ignored. This was extremely disappointing, and I cannot recommend this salon based on my experience Sarah and her team were fantastic to work with for my wedding! My stylist, Cara, put in so much effort to make sure everything was perfect for me and the rest of the team that assisted was great as well. My bridal party and my hair was perfect and the team was super friendly and easy to communicate with as well. Highly recommend this team! Great stylists and friendly staff Got bangs and they were terrible, wouldn’t recommend! Very uneven sections. Hate writing bad reviews about local businesses, but was very disappointed in the Beauty Bar’s customer service today. I was given a $100 gift card for Mother’s Day 2 years ago that got misplaced until recently (chaotic toddler mom life). I called to hopefully make a much needed hair appointment and see if they would still honor it, since there is no expiration date on the certificate or on their website that I can find. The front desk checked with the manager who apparently said no. I am really disappointed that they would not honor this or offer even 50%, or anything really. I mean come on - it’s been a little over 2 years, not 5 or 10. And if you are going to put an expiration on your gift certificates, it would be nice to know. Either way, if I were the owner and that was my policy, I would at least offer something. I can tell you that I would be writing a very different review right now. Instead I’m leaving with a bad experience that I’ll be unfortunately sharing anytime BB is brought up and going to call another hair salon to give my business to. Anyway, I hope this isn’t a reflection of this business’ customer service overall and beware if you buy a gift card. I have been going to the Beauty Bar 402 for my hair styling and now my hair extensions. Cara is super-talented and so personable. I always feel welcome and important when I walk in. I also take advantage of the weight loss options that they offer. Love Emily for a good curly hair cut! Went in for a simple blowout and got exactly what I asked for. Not only did Hannah do an incredible job on my hair... She did an incredible job of making me feel welcome. Both are super important. I don’t get my hair done often but whenever I do, I will definitely come back to see Hannah. I love this place for the service I receive. Very friendly and customer service is on point. My weight lose services are great!! The staff is so nice every time I go here and honestly the other customers have been super friendly and fun to talk to as well. I have not gotten salon services yet (I go for semaglutide) but I definitely want to try everything out. I love it here!
