I need it $100 just to walk through the door and meet with a lawyer then of course like all lawyers they wanted the entire retainer paid up front for a second degree assault charge that I had they were going to charge me $2,000 So I decided to go with a public defender for 50 bucks all I did was call my local commissioner's office and they told me how to get a public defender. Now you do have to qualify but I qualified so I rather pay $50 than $2,000. Hope this post helps you Ms. Cheeatow, Kylene, and Nicole are very helpful.
