The attorney responded, “That’s not true, Minnesota doesn’t have a usury statute, you don’t know what you’re talking about”. Prospective client found the Minnesota Fair Lending Act and Minnesota Statute 334, he was shocked and claimed the client must know more than he does. The attorney started belittling the client, asserting that he didn’t understand the law and didn’t know what he was talking about. Then attorney hung up when the prospective client responded.
