About this business

Belger Crane Yard Studios The Belger Arts Center, founded in 2000, invited viewers to investigate and challenge art and the world around them. The Belger Arts Center has organized more than 100 exhibitions of contemporary art, using the collection of John and Maxine Belger Family Foundation and local, national, and international artists. In 2013, Belger Arts, a Foundation that chooses to honour the creative process, expanded its commitment by opening Belger Crane Yard Studios. This arts complex offers studios and exhibition space for artists who in turn connects them to the public; Belger is now a hub for contemporary art. Belger has worked with over 150 artists as a result of the extensive ceramics programme, which includes the Red Star Residency and the Crane Yard Clay ceramics store.setContent Belger Glass Annex will be the third Belger Arts site, opening to the public on October 20, 2021. In Kansas City, this is the sole public glassblowing facility of its size and span. Glassmaking helped create cities, and Belger Glass Annex will keep this legacy alive. The new glassblowing studio includes advanced tools and a 300-pound furnace, as well as three workstations. After the new glassblowing studio opens, Belger Glass Annex will be the Midwest's hub for glass education and appreciation, as well as a major arts destination in Kansas City.
