City Rent a Truck’s nationwide truck and van rental operation includes fleet management solutions to ensure companies always have the right vehicles for their business. The company is based in Kansas City and has a central location. The company was founded as South Town Leasing in 1964 when a local Ford dealership established a leasing division. After several years, the Ford dealership moved east, but South Town Leasing stayed behind and began operating as a separate company. It wasn't long before South Town Leasing was renamed City Rent-A-Truck. Over the last 50 years, a lot has changed for us. One thing has not: our commitment to customer satisfaction and our evolving vehicles in response to the customers. We have expanded over the years, but we still remember where we came from.
