Customer Review Summary: AVOID THIS ATTORNEY FOR ANY SERVICE!!! I seriously don't think he is an attorney to begin with as he is advertised online. I entered into a contract with him about a year ago and paid him upfront a lot of money. That was the last time I ever saw him. He doesn't return phone calls and never answers emails when trying to contact him. I am currently seeking legal avenues to recover my money and get my documents/property from his 908 Baltimore avenue KCMO office. Very un-American and dishonest. Never ever imagined I could fall victim of fraud and lack of ethics in a trustworthy society as America. Sad. Do not hire this attorney for anything. LaVergne Mr. Michael Crawford at one time was an amazing Attorney, but ‘MY EXPERIENCE’ with Mr. Michael Crawford has been nothing but a horrible nightmare back in June 21, 2024. I obtained Mr. Crawford to represent me. I paid him a $5000 cashier check and received maybe two text messages from him. No emails and refuses to return my phone calls when I threaten to make a complaint at the Bahr association. I got one response. Yep I’ll call you back later today his words exactly and I haven’t heard a word from him since come to find out. He’s in trouble already with the Bar Association for multiple ethics violations, and I filed mine as of yesterday against him next, I’m going to file a lawsuit and the Bahr association sent me to another entity That’s trying to help me get back my retainer fee which Mr. Crawford was supposed to put into a secure fund until after my case had been settle. Which we don’t think he’s done. mr. Crawford before you decide to jump on here and respond, take note I have every text message from day one June 21 all the way up to yesterday. I have every phone call record and I have every email record that I sent you because you haven’t sent me none. I am absolutely horrified and embarrassed for you if I can put my recommendation out there run from this gentleman. From the very first meeting with Michael, i knew i could trust him. he didn't make unrealistic guarantees, but promised he would fight for me. most importantly, he treated me with respect when no one else would. He made good on that promise and fought for me every step of the way. He never stopped believing in me and challenged the state's case every step of the way. When the jury read the verdict of NOT GUILTY i could finally breathe again. I truly believed my life was over when i got charged with 2nd degree murder, was truly terrified. i will forever be grateful that Michael took my case. Before trial the plea offer was also for almost 20 years in DOC. we took case to trial, and after nearly 5 days of trial where Michael was fabulous, and absolutely destroyed the state's witnesses' credibility, the jury's verdict was not guilty!!!! we cannot ever thank him enough for his hard work! my son was facing a serious charge, and potentially looking at a lot of time in DOC, if convicted. Before trial the plea offer was also for almost 20 years in DOC. we took case to trial, and after nearly 5 days of trial where Michael was fabulous, and absolutely destroyed the state's witnesses' credibility, the jury's verdict was not guilty!!!! we cannot ever thank him enough for his hard work! I can't thank Michael enough for the incredible work he did on my case. Not only highly knowledgeable and experienced in the courtroom. He also genuinely cared. Always took the time to listen to me and my side of the story. very attentive. did a great job on my case RUN! DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT WORKING WITH MICHAEL CRAWFORD. I hired Mr. Crawford over 18 months ago, paid up front and was promised resolution with my license reinstatement. He lied about everything, avoids conversation and worst of all STOLE my money. I am out over $1,200 and have not been able to contact him in almost a year. I previously posted a review due to my inability to get Mr. Crawford to respond to me. He immediately asked me to remove my review and promised resolution. Nothing happened. I am currently pursuing legal action on Mr. Crawford after filing a formal complaint with the State of Kansas. Please, do your self a favor and DO NOT make the same mistake I did. Michael Crawford is an excellent lawyer. He worked with me in many ways and got me the plea deal I was looking for. I highly recommend using Mr. Crawford as your attorney he is reasonable pricing and understanding and very committed to his job. Michael Crawford was my attorney for over a year. He has been patient with me in addressing all my cases and always took the time to answer my questions and concerns. I’m thankful for God placing him in my path. If you’re looking for attorney in Kansas or Missouri, I highly recommend Michael Crawford! He texts also which is a huge plus in today’s world.
