After his residency in hospital dental care at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Leavenworth Kansas (1980-1981), he went to Northwestern Memorial Medical Center's Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Schroeder returned to St. Louis and started his Oral Maxillofacial surgery hospital after finishing his Post Graduate program in June 1985.
