The Philip Slein Gallery opened in 2003 in downtown St. Louis. A partnership with veteran art dealer Jim Schmidt in 2011 brought an important group of American abstract artists to the gallery. In 2012 the partnership moved the gallery to its current more prominent location in the historic Central West End. Primary focus of the gallery is and remains - painters of a variety of styles and who have achieved regional and international reputations.
