I agree with Ron they will over charge you and if it’s real estate or Probait that you are looking for them to do run in the opposite direction because they don’t know what they are doing.i had two different real estate attorney to have to let them know that they made a mistake in my case. They will not let you talk to the head firm attorney about the situation at all. They don’t even get a star from me. I just told them to finish up what I payed them to do. They still are sending bills smh
THIS LAWFIRM WILL OVERCHARGE YOU IF YOU DON'T ASK FOR A DETAILED BREAKDOWN OF THEIR CHARGES ONCE THEY BILL YOU!!!
This firm was a referral from a friend of mine that used Blood Law. Like most friend referrals, I would trust that if a friend had a good experience, so will I... so I thought.
I realized I was getting overcharged after getting my biweekly ( 1st and the 15th you will have a bill) charges and I couldn't understand why the charges were so high. I felt in my stomach that something wasn't right, so I asked for a breakdown of the bill so I will know why they were charging me so I can get a better understanding of the bill.
To my surprise, the staff were kinda annoyed because I asked to see a detailed breakdown of their charges. The accountant person didn't know nor could give me an explanation, so they have to ask the lawyers. The accountant told me people normally don't ask for a breakdown of their bill, they just pay it. I told the accountant kindly that I still want to know. When they finally got back with me, I noticed that there were charges that were errors.
I asked to look at previous monthly payments I've already made and looked through those breakdowns and again, I saw more issues.
At this time, I've spent over $15,000 so far and I was afraid to drop the lawfirm and find another, but things were already on the court calendar so I kept them as my representation .
Once my case was finished, I took my requested detailed breakdowns to another attorney friend that retired from practicing family law and they showed me charges I was overbilled to confirm what I've already knew.. I just wanted a second opinion.
I don't have the finances to take legal action, nor do I have the time or energy but I can give a WARNING and ADVICE...
TO ANY NEW POTENTIAL CLIENTS, PLEASE REQUEST A FEE BREAKDOWN EACH TIME THEY BILL YOU, JUST LIKE THEIR ACCOUNTANT TOLD ME " NO ONE EVER ASK"
